In light of the anti technology ideas spilling out of city hall, you would never know incumbent mayor Heather Fargo is the same progressive visionary her campaign spin doctors have presented her as in recent months.

Despite being 3 percentage points shy of a clean victory, and apparently unfazed by statistical facts stating he would need an odds- defying—but theoretically possible—64% of the uncounted vote to win the Larry O’Brien award of Sac politics, Kevin Johnson all but declared himself the victor of Sacramento’s 2008 mayoral election yesterday.

Today the Bee announced Robert Lee Drumgoole will be running as a write-in candidate for the mayoral election. Drumgoole was smart to wait until the last possible day. Otherwise he probably would have been running with Kevin.. for his life.
