Is Kevin Johnson a true Democrat? Who cares

By Joe • Sep 28th, 2008 | Bookmark and Share

Throughout this election season, Sacramento voters have been bombarded with lectures, stories, blog entries, speeches, mailers, press releases, and even bumper stickers touting which mayoral candidate is the true Democrat, as though the title were some sort of regal honor that will determine the outcome of the election. Do voters even care? I sure don’t. [...]

Eight is Enough: Local newspaper publisher says no to Fargo, sings KJ’s praises in endorsement letter

By Joe • Sep 25th, 2008 | Bookmark and Share

SACRAMENTO, CA - In 1864 the union army attacked a confederate regiment named “Hood’s Corps” (after General John Bell Hood). In this particular battle, Hood’s regiment prevailed, despite several attempts on the part of the union to dislodge them. The landmark pictured at left marks the location where the battles occurred, and Hood’s victories remain [...]

Team Far-away suddenly concerned about Natomas crime.. after police plan meeting with residents

By Joe • Jun 27th, 2008 | Bookmark and Share

Man, I don’t know whether to rejoice or LMAO about Fargo and Tretheway’s sudden election-season interest in Natomas public safety. Yesterday I received an email from Captain Daniel Hahn stating the Sacramento Police Department (note: THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, not city leaders) wished to meet with residents about the rash of home invasion armed robberies in [...]
