I am no longer updating this list. I haven’t the patience or inclination to be the only one who wants to draw attention to crime issues in Natomas. I am going to be like everyone else and just bury my head in the sand and protect my own family. I tried for three months. That’s long enough. Hopefully if Kevin Johnson becomes mayor he will get the PD to provide RSS feeds for all crime reports on the public site by zip code like other cities have.

3 Suspects became involved in an altercation with the victim (25 yrs. old) who was visiting his Girlfriend who lived in the apartment.  The altercation ended with the victim being shot in the head.  He was transported to the hospital and is going to live.  The investigation is ongoing and I will hopefully have more updates soon.

Male victim shot in head, girlfriend tells 911 op. he is losing consciousness, 3 male black suspects, Air1 searching for suspects, CSI called in, victim transported to UCD. No more details. Call to UCD Med and police department along with emails to police officials yielded no information on this young man’s condition.

3 male black, air support requested, Victim got into confrontation with subjects at Regency park and subject brandished shotgun - red monte carlo with white zebra stripes - officer safety alert - paladin security saw vehicle at Terracina Gold apartments 15 minutes ago, Air1 down for fuel refill, checking for outside agencies, Negative for air support at this time (no air support available), officers clear area, car not found, victim interviewed

Victim was parking his car in the apartment parking lot when two suspects (male black 17-20, years old, skinny, wearing black clothing) approached him armed with guns. One suspect assaulted the victim (minor injuries) and they took personal items (ie wallet & cell phone).

Victim was standing in a common area of the apartment complex when two suspects (male black adults) approached him. They hit him several times with a baseball bat and took personal items (ie wallet). No gun was seen.

(230220) 7/16/08 @ 9:38 pm, Armed Robbery Attempt, 4251 Truxel (Golden Dragon Restaurant), N. Natomas
3 Suspects (male black 18-20, black clothing) attempted to rob victim in parking lot of her cell phone and money. Victim fled from suspects before they could get anything. They were armed with a long gun (possible a shotgun or rifle). They fled the area once the victim ran away.

(230296) 7/16/08 @ 10:42 pm (one hour later), Armed Robbery, 4200 Block of Norwood Ave (Robla). This took place about an hour later, just down Del Paso Rd a few miles. There were apparently same number of male black suspects, also brandishing a “long gun.” The victim was robbed of her purse . The police suspect this robbery was committed by the same suspects.

(224822) Shots fired, youth melee, 7/12/08 @2:12 am, 4630 Natomas Blvd (Tuk Tuk Restuarant), North Natomas
Sac PD received a call of 30-40 subjects fighting and about 5 gunshots heard at the Tuk Tuk Restuarant at 2:12 am. Officers responded with their lights/sirens and got there in 3 minutes. Most of the people were gone when officers arrived and there were no victims left on scene.

(222623) Robbery, 7/10/08 @6:15 am, San Juan/Smoke Tree Dr, South Natomas
Male victim was waiting at the bus stop when suspect approached him (Male Black adult, late 20’s, 6′00″, 200 lbs). Suspect demanded money and then punched victim a couple of times. Suspect also acted like there was a weapon in his pocket but none was seen. Suspect took the victim’s bag and fled to a silver SUV. We later recovered the bag and the SUV in another location in South Natomas. The investigation is ongoing.

(222727) Robbery, 7-10-08 @ 9:18 am, 4640 Natomas Blvd (Jamba Juice) - North Natomas
Victim (Juvenile) was inside Jamba Juice with a friend (Juvenile). 3 suspects (All 15 years old) approached the victim and strong arm (no weapon) robbed the victim of his cell phone and hand held video game. They attempted to rob the victim’s friend of his cell phone before they were scared off by an employee of Jamba Juice. Suspects ultimately found in a nearby apartment complex. All three were arrested for robbery - two were on probation - one of which had an ankle monitor.\

Victim was walking in the parking lot of Savemart when two male black adults approached with handguns. They took personal items including a cell phone and left in a white Oldsmobile or Buick.

From Sacbee.com: The incident began about 10:20 p.m., when a 911 caller reported that a man was “shooting a gun into the air” on Pasture Court, Officer Konrad Von Schoech, a police spokesman, said last week. Police find the suspect with a “smoking” 38 cal handgun and arrested him.

(211474) , Armed Robbery 7-1-08 @ 1:45 am, 3200 Truxel (Natomas Village Apt’s)- Natomas
Two male black juveniles (both w/ black hoodies and 1 with gold teeth) approached the male and female victims. They both had guns and they took the victims wallet and cell phone.

July 1? 11:50 pm, Multiple shots fired - Northgate/Del Paso Rd (County Location) - Natomas
Sheriff’s department responded to a large unruly party in a warehouse at this location in the County. There were numerous shots fired in the area and they called for backup from us. We sent several patrol officers to assist. The cars leaving the area eventually started going into the parking lot of Fry’s and In-and-Out Burger. Sheriff’s deputies found a car in the In-and-Out burger parking lot that had fresh bullet holes in the side of the car. Graveyard Officers got information that a car had brandished a handgun at the AM/PM at Northgate/Del Paso. They stopped this car at Del Paso Rd/Main Ave. There were approximately 5 people in the car - They found a stolen handgun in the car and arrested a juvenile for possessing that gun.

Two male black adults entered residence and stole personal property at gunpoint. They fled the residence on foot. They entered through the front door.

Victim came home and parked in her garage and entered her house. She thought she closed the garage door when the suspect (male black adult) confronted her inside her residence. He hit her (minor injuries) and fled with the victims purse.

3 male black and 1 male hispanic juvenile (15-16 years old)entered female victims house when she opened the garage door. One was armed with a handgun. Suspects took personal items from her house and fled.

2 male black adults (1. dread locks and muscular build, 2. bald head) entered victims apartment and forced them to leave. They took personal items from inside apartment. At least one suspect was armed with a gun.

10:30 p.m., Stolen Vehicle arrest
Pelican/Penasco (Northgate area)
Officers located a stolen vehicle being driven in the area. Once they got the car stopped, the passenger fled on foot. He was caught by the officers. The suspect (male adult - 26 years old) was arrested for driving a stolen vehicle. Stolen vehicle was a white 1995 Toyota Camry.

3 p.m. Robbery/Car Jacking
2954 Flora Springs Way (Gateway West)
Suspects ordered a pizza and the pizza delivery driver arrived at the above house. This house is vacant. Upon arrival they robbed, at gun point, the driver of personal belongings and his car and fled the area in his car. The suspects are 1. Male black 6′0″, 200lbs. 2. Male Black 5′7″. 3. Male black (all in their 20’s). The stolen vehicle is a Dark Blue 2001 Toyota Corolla, 4 door, license plate # 4NKM489. This car is still stolen and not recovered.

2 p.m., Armed Robbery,
4700 Truxel, behind Kohl’s (Natomas Park)
Female victim was walking on the sidewalk when a dark blue 4-door car (all tinted windows) pulled up. Two suspects got out and robbed her of her purse at gun point. Suspects fled in the car. Suspects 1. male black, 20’s, 6′2″, 180 lbs, muscular build, black t-shirt, #2 male black 20’s, black shirt and black shorts. There were other suspects in the car also. This is probably related to the above robbery.

5:25 p.m., Home Invasion Robbery,
2750 Stonecreek Drive apartment complex (South Natomas)
2 male black and 1 male hispanic (with mask) entered the unlocked door of victims apartment. They robbed him of personal belongings at gun point. Fled on foot.
6/4/08 2:40 p.m., Armed Robbery Brynmar Court (Natomas Park) Male Black Suspect (17 to 21 yrs. old), 5′7″, 140 to 150 lbs., White long sleeve hoodie. Female victim arrived home and parked in her garage. Suspect entered garage armed with a handgun. The suspect attempted to get victim back into her car, but was unsuccessful. He ultimately took the victim’s purse from her car and fled on foot When the robbery took place the victim was just returning home from picking up her children at school, and had just pulled her car into the garage and was unloading her kids. The suspect approached her children right outside the garage door and the mom walked around the garage corner after hearing a male voice to find him with a gun pointed at her and her little ones. He forced them back into the garage and tried to get them into their car. The woman threw her purse at him, and luckily something spooked him enough to get him out of the garage after failed attempts to get them into the vehicle. He fled on foot down the court. It sounds like the same suspect also hit another woman with a small child a few days (see 6/7/08 entry) later in Northgate/Gardenland

5/25/08 @ 1:05 am, Fight/Shooting, 2221 Del Paso Rd (Park Place Shell)
Several Male Hispanic Adults arrived at the gas station in a Silver Chevy pick up, a gray or blue mid sized car and a small black car. Several Male Black Adults arrived in a Maroon SUV (possibly a Range Rover) with large shinny rims and a red mid sized car (similar to a Dodge Charger with shinny rims). Both parties ended up in several fights in the parking lot. All parties fled the scene and gun shots were heard possibly coming from the Maroon SUV when they were leaving. No one was shot.

5/26/08 ?, Jefferson Elementary “Fort Natomas” arson
Residents suspect an arsonist is responsible for the fire that destoryed Fort Natomas community park in the early hours of May 26. This is particularly devastating since the park had already been destroyed in 2006 and residents had pulled together and rebuilt it.

5/14/08 @ ?, HOMICIDE, Homecoming Condominiums, North Natomas
On Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at approximately 8:23 a.m., the Sacramento Fire Department arrived at 4800 Kokomo Drive regarding an unresponsive female. The victim was located in the common area of the apartment complex by a maintenance worker, near building 25. Medics pronounced the 27-year-old female deceased at 8:27 a.m. Victim believed to have been shot in the upper torso. Suspect apprehended. No word whatsoever on suspect’s status now.

5/3/08 7:53 a.m., Business Robbery 2050 Club Center Drive, LONGS DRUGS (Natomas Park) Suspect robbed the store at gun point. He fled the parking lot on foot south bound toward an apartment complex. In case you saw this, patrol, K-9, and CHP helicopter looked for the suspect with no luck.

5/2/08 9:33 a.m., Hit & Run Collision Bridgecross/Natomas Blvd (Regency Park) There was a hit and run accident where the driver of the Lexus was hit and run into the field. The driver was injured, but not life threatening injuries. The suspect car is possibly a gold BMW (it fled the scene).

4/30/08 3:28 p.m., Bank Robbery 4650 Natomas Blvd - Tri Counties Bank, inside Raley’s (Natomas Park) Male white adult, mid 30’s in a silver or blue 4-door vehicle - robbed he bank stating he had a gun. He fled in the car.

4/27/0 1 a.m., Shooting 1000 block of Millet Way (S. Natomas/Northgate) A large party was being held at a house and two groups got into a dispute. One subject pulled out a gun and began shooting. Two victims at the party were hit with bullets and have non-life threatening wounds.

4/27/08 1:30 a.m., Shooting In & Out Burger ( Natomas Crossing) Two groups of people got into a fight outside of In & Out Burger. At least one person pulled out a gun and began firing into the air and into an unoccupied parked car. A couple of bullets hit the side of In & Out Burger, some in the air and some into the window of the parked car. All people fled the area.

4/21/08 11:26 pm, Robbery at Knife Point Natomas Blvd just north of Club Center (Heritage Park) Victim was jogging and the suspect (Male Black 20’s w/ do-rag on head) robbed him at knife point of his MP-3 Player. He fled running west bound across Natomas Boulevard.

4/22/08 12:32 a.m., Business Burglary Pannu Pizza, 4391 Gateway Park Blvd (Natomas Crossing) Suspects entered Pannu Pizza Palace by smashing out the window. Suspects left items from the business in the parking lot and a running stolen vehicle near by. Apparently they were scared off by something. Detectives are working some leads on this case. More to follow.

4/17/08 & 4/18/08 County Wide, Sacramento Neighborhoods Against Gangs (SNAG III) Over 300 officers from Federal, State and Local Law enforcement agencies conducted a countywide gang sweep. Basically doing compliance checks on known gang members. below are the results: 115 arrests (11 juveniles) 2 - bullet proof vests 4 - handguns 5 - knives 3 shotguns 14.29 grams of Cocaine 18960 grams of Marijuana 127.1 grams of methamphetamine $12,490 seized

4/16/08 Day Shift, Traffic Enforcement Gateway West & Willow Creek (Natomas Park) Motor officers conducted traffic enforcement in the areas of Club Center, Duckhorn and W. El Camino/El Centro. They wrote 37 traffic citations and towed 2 cars for 30-days.

4/15/08 10:30 p.m. Shooting Larchwood Dr./Binghampton Dr (Northgate) Three adults were walking eastbound on Larchwood Drive near Binghampton. A mid 1990’s green Mustang (2-door w/ stock rims and tinted windows) drove by and fired several shots at the victims, hitting two of the victims (non-life threatening injuries). .

4/13/08 9:17 p.m., Shots Fired, San Juan/Northgate (Gardenland/Northgate) Officers were on a nearby call when they heard gun shots in the area. The shots came from the strip mall on the north side of San Juan just west of Northgate. No victims or damage was located and suspects possibly fled in a champagne colored ‘87 or ‘88 Chevy Caprice and a 2000 silver BMW.

4/11/08 10:30 p.m., Robbery 1400 block of Brewerton (South Natomas) Male Black Adult (5′5″, 160 lbs, athletic build, black hooded sweatshirt and black pants) entered an unlocked second story window of apartment. The residents were inside asleep in the apartment when the suspect entered. They awoke while he was inside and he fled with personal belongings, including a video game. He fled the complex on a BMX style bicycle.\

Isn’t this horrible??? and the worst part? Our mayor thinks the answer to our crime problems is more “neighborhood watch” committees!! No word yet if we all be receiving guns and riot gear to protect ourselves (also, still no word yet on rafts and life jackets)
