Make Sacramento Better

||||||||||||||||||| IMPROVE YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD |||||||||||||||||||||

  • 20Jun08 - Just got off the phone with Cpt. Daniel Hahn at the Sacramento Police Dept. He says most crimes are solved with citizens’ help–especially burglaries. What can you do? Get video surveillance if possible. Fry’s has systems that are very affordable. Installation is only about $150. Send me recommendations for installers and I will post them.
  • Read the 2030 General Plan for our city and your neighborhood. The general plan is a blueprint for the city’s future, authored by our elected officials. You can even send survey feedback about it to the city as long as you do so before July 31, 2008
  • 12 ways to improve your neighborhood (excellent document on Steve Cohn’s web site)
  • Know the Sac Police Department’s personnel and patrol captain for your neighborhood
  • Hold the police accountable for patrolling your neighborhood.

Do you know who your council person is? Here is a list with map. Much more user friendly than the city’s web site pages (sigh)..
