Arizona 8 set to vote on Strong Mayor ballot language tonight
By M. Johnston • Jun 22nd, 2010 |I used to oppose Johnson’s strong arm mayor initiative. But then two things became clear to me : 1) The lion’s share of the people opposing Johnson’s efforts hate him so much he could never do right by them anyway; 2) Johnson is only 1/8th of the problem.

By M. Johnston • Jun 21st, 2010 |“Well, I didn’t ask them what they want me to do cause I’ve never asked people what they wanted me to do or how they wanted me to vote” (!!) -Sacramento City Council doorstop Rob Fong when asked if he talked to voters prior to imposing economic sanctions on economy ravaged Arizona residents and small [...]

Tretheway concedes, Angelique Ashby takes District 1 council seat
By M. Johnston • Jun 18th, 2010 |Congrats to “my girl.” That’s what I was told Angelique was a ways back. “Your girl Angelique..” But really, she’s not “my girl” for the record. Angelique’s my “shawty.” Get it right, people. My GIRL (my wife) isn’t the political type. Matter of fact–if I might customarily digress for a few moments–my girl is actually [...]

How we kept Seattle from poaching our police chief.. according to KJ
By M. Johnston • Jun 15th, 2010 |First of all I think it’s sad my blog gets far more hits per article than KJ ’s blog does for his. If I were him I would not publish the viewing numbers. 60 views in five days for his article about retaining the chief? Wow. That is a truly dismal number for a mayor’s [...]

By M. Johnston • Jun 8th, 2010 |There will be no campaign conversation today. I am laying low to observe election day and watch and wait for the results. The amount of Ray Tretheway related content here in the past three weeks has been admittedly heavy. Actually I never intended that; the idea to do it daily for 21 days was spontaneous. [...]
