The Sac city attorney today published a report stating there are major potential legal hurdles with Kevin Johnson’s hasty strong mayor initiative. The city attorney says Johnson’s initiative mandates a  ninth seat on council to replace him  but–big surprise here– the initiative doesn’t address when an election would even be held to fill that ninth seat. She contends this would effectively disenfranchise voters.

Johnson’s bull-headed reponse to KCRA? “I don’t think these are serious issues..It won’t impede the efforts, I believe, from any respect.”

“From” any respect? Did you mean “in” any respect, Mr. Mayor. I suppose you did, sir, and as has become a custom here, we shall give you the benefit of the doubt.

Am I the only one who finds the mayor’s statements  without substance? It’s almost as though someone hands him a mad lib and instructs him to fill it out, and then the result is his quote. Let’s play a game shall we? Let’s see if we can do better!  Please participate!

Kevin Johnson’s response to the city attorney’s report:

“I think the report is ____________ (adj). I don’t think it will _____________ (verb) the  _______________ (noun) from any respect. I really wish the attorney would ____________ (verb) this kind of ________________ (noun) on a _________________ (noun) so we could have a chance to _____________ (verb) for it.”

There you have it folks. You can now say you’ve made a statement to the press like Kevin Johnson!

Now to the real question. Is this guy for real? Does nothing faze him? Has he no humility? Seems to me this is yet one more piece of evidence to demonstrate how half-baked his initiative is.
