Back in November of 2006 Jesse Jackson was all over the air waves pitching his idea to abolish the “n” word once and for all. I have to admit, I was behind him all the way, and cheering as much as anyone for the “n” word’s burial.
At the time, CBS News reported: “Jackson says he plans to meet with TV networks, film companies and musicians to talk about what they can do to stop using the racial slur.”
Around the same time Jackson told a Los Angeles news conference: “[the "n" word's] roots are rooted in hatred and pain and degradation, and whether it’s hatred toward African-Americans or whether it’s self-hatred, a concession toward it is still wrong.”
Even though there was not a consensus among black entertainers, many followed Jackson’s advice and there were even public burnings and burials of the word in public parks and even schools across the country. It seemed Rev Jackson was making some head way.
But in truly bizarre turn of events, Fox News has verified Jackson himself launched the N bomb this past week during the same show in which he shared his desire to castrate Barack Obama. Turns out the exact transcript was this:
“Barack…he’s talking down to black people…telling nig$#s how to behave.”
Holy Al Sharpton. Reverend Jackson using the word he himself has preached is “rooted in hatred and pain and degradation”? It’s almost hard to believe. In fact it’s so hard to believe that when Reverend Al Sharpton was presented with the news yesterday, he apparently said he would not comment until he had heard the tape himself.
One can’t help but ask the question: Is Jesse Jackson a fraud? I would hope not. He has made a positive difference in a lot of lives, and he has a very nice family, including a son who holds a high profile position in the Obama Campaign.
Fraud or not, I think it’s time for Rev Jackson to sit down, close his mouth for a change, and let Obama find his way to the White House on his own. Barack has proven repeatedly he does not need the help of Sharpton and Jackson and Rev Wright to influence voters, and if they want him to win, they should respect that and let him do his thing.
This is the moment millions have been waiting for. I am shocked Jesse Jackson would do anything other than ask how he can be of service to Obama.

I agree. He needs to shut up. He is now officially NOT relevant
Gee Joe, are you really asking if Jackson is a fraud, he has been a fraud forever, he is a disgrace to his race and our country, all he does is shake down companies, and run around calling everybody a racist, and produce kids out of wedlock. Any aware person would conclude, he is the racist, and now we hear comments that are made public of views he most certainly holds true, one’s that don’t help unite our country and create less tolerance. It is too bad people like you give him a pass, and for that matter Obama. It is because these people are black, they can’t be attacked. What a joke, I am waiting for Obama to be swift boated back to his community organizing days, he is a fraud too. The media won’t touch him, so we will need to fight back and contribute to the 527’s, as Kerry endured. If you have a problem with that you don’t understand politics very well.
Gee Charlie, I don’t write just for conservatives who already thought Jackson was a fraud. I write for a much broader audience, and I pose questions for everyone to consider– in this case one for even Jackson fans to consider. You should be applauding that, not decrying it. I could be crying foul for Jackson and defending him. I am not.
If you begin reading my articles from the standpoint that I am a proponent of much needed change in attitude all the way around, you may begin to understand the thought process behind my posts.
Love ya Charlie
And have a great day
Hi Joe,
I do appreciate your comments and do know you have a good heart and care deeply about many topics, it’s just sometimes your comments rub me wrong and I need to tell you that. I may seem rough at times, don’t take it to personally, what do you think of the new Police center planned at Safeway Center, how do you think it will impact the area, do you think it will stop the mexican gangs from writing in the parks as they did yesterday, on Crest at the water basin near Danbrook, just north of the school.
It’s all good. I don’t take it personally. Debate is healthy. I love it. As long as it doesn’t sink to name calling and/or abuse, I am good to go
My comments rub you wrong because they are not in alignment with your opinions. And vice versa. I think it’s a good thing. It makes us both think and learn. That’s is a great outcome in my opinion. Every day I learn something new. I would have it no other way.
New police center near Safeway? Not sure. They said it will be staffed part time or with volunteers or something? I forget the params. I think it is a good thing as long as they draw some attention to it. Maybe put a big inflatable K9 on the roof with a bloody arm hanging out of its mouth. We should also put banners at all entrances of Natomas that say TAKE YOUR CRIME SOMEWHERE ELSE, IT IS NOT WELCOME HERE. I have always wondered why communities don’t do that. Maybe criminals keep committing crimes because they think everyone is scared of them
I have so many ideas… and so little time..
thank god that somebody can see that jesse jackson has out did his time. He is the old scared to death black man. god we really need to stop acting like black is two or three diferent groups.
